Co-Founder
Greater Seattle Area
Lorena is a community leader, Forbes 30U30 Fellow, and ardently supports women chasing their dreams. Born in Mexico, she moved to Nevada as a child and, at a young age, advocated for herself when opportunities were not made available to her due to assumptions and stereotypes. A believer in "following your dreams and passions", Lorena left Corporate America to pursue her own dream of attaining a STEM degree. While completing her B.S. in Biochemistry she found an inclusive Women in STEM community that supported one another and who inspired her to create a digital community for women. A staunch advocate for physical and digital networking, she believes that community & collaboration are keys to success. She’s the co-founder of a consulting company for Science and Technology organizations in the US and Canada and the philanthropic venture, Global Girls Give.

Global Girls Give originated from a viral IG post and has now brought together 25 women from across the globe focused on building an inclusive platform where women can support one another and pay it forward, with mentorship at its forefront. At Global Girls Give, the team aims to “Connect. Grow. Inspire. Repeat.” by creating opportunities they wish were available during their own youth.

When she’s not working on her business or "side hustle" you can find her rock climbing, enjoying a glass of wine or sharing her behind-the-scenes and tips on IG (@girlchangetheworld).
